Dependable of Ponies

31 Jan

I have an confession wordpress. I am addicted to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I know the theme song by heart, I watched almost all the episodes, I have techno remixes of many of the songs, and I also play the iPhone game. So it’s really no surprise that I google images of ponies. Upon one of these searches, I came across a humanized gender swap image of all the main characters. I thought it would be something fun to do was create a look using Rule 63. Here is Applejack, or as the internet has dubbed him, Aj.

In the show, Applejack is a southern little lady who works on a farm. She always has on a cowboy hat. While this look really doesn’t scream “Applejack” to me it sort of works. Plus it’s the fir My Little Pony look that I am going to do.

Oh Deer

30 Jan

Kinda cool fact about me. When I style, I am normally super tired. Now you may be asking “Hey Gabe, why is that cool?” Well honestly it’s because some of my best ideas come from my sleepy mind. Let’s take this look for example, it was somewhere around 6 am my time (which is Montana time) that I was like “Hey, you know what would be a great idea? A hoody with antlers.”  I went to the marketplace and could not find one already made (That was mesh and for men)

Oh-Deer

I often find myself coming up with all these ideas. Sometimes I wish I was creative and smart enough to make thing in Secondlife. Let’s face it, if everyone in Secondlife could create thing, there would be more stores around. So, because I cannot create things, if you are a designer running out of ideas and want to make some of mine come to life, contact me in-world. I have a few of them.

In The City

29 Jan

One of the things I love about secondlife is the Marketplace. I think just on Tragicly Styled alone, I have raved about how great the Marketplace is. I can find amazing items in one place and can pretty much plan an outfit. Much like I did with the look bellow.

In-The-City

The top for this look I got back when I was planning my style piece for Avenue (Shameless plug). But I didn’t end up using it. So, I was like “Well how am I going to style it.”.  Since the top was simple, I wanted something to pop out which is when I came across these mesh leggings for men. I paired it with suspenders and these studded boots. Hey, if I have any designers reading this, can we PLEASE add more studs and spikes to men’s wear? Like for real, I would not mind a blazer with studded shoulders.

Big Bear Riding Hood

28 Jan

Have you ever had a song that was stuck in our head and would not leave? For the past few days, I have had the song Lil Red Riding Hood from the band Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs. Except the Amanda Seyfried cover. Because I can’t get the song out of my head and because of this Magika hair I bought recently; here is a Little Red Riding Hood look. Well, sort of. Let’s face it, there is nothing “Little” about my current avatar.

Big-Bear-Riding-Hood

Like I said above. The hair used in this look is from Magika. I had to edit the hood to make it that red color. However, the fact it was mod made me happy. Even as I love this hair, the only thing that made me a little sad face about it was the fact that because it’s a mesh hair made for females; the hair sort of hovers over a male avatar’s pecs. There is no male option out there. So I guess I’ll just suck it up like a big boy.

Not very cat friendly

28 Jan

I feel like I owe you guys this long sort of post saying things like “Hi I am back” And going into why. But I am not going too. Instead for my little intro rant. I want to talk about kittens. I love kittens. Yes.

Now with my little I love kitten rant out of the way here is a look for you.

This look would not be very cat friendly being mostly all black. Can you just picture the amount of lint brush rollers you would have to use to get all the cat fur off of your crisp black sweater? And what if the cat was one of those furry white ones? Oh hell. Talk about a mess. Speaking of sweater. This one from Levenchy was free on the secondlife marketplace. It’s one of those deals where the designer is like “You know, I could just give you the mesh demo with the sweater with the word demo written all over it. But I want to be cool and sort of just give you a demo you can use forever.” I find a lot of stores do this and a lot of them are on the marketplace. So to those designer; thank you for saving me some lindens.
