Dock

17 Jun

One of the things I love about summer are the tanktops. In real life I do not wear them as often do the the fact that I am not allowed to when I am at work but in secondlife I buy up as many as I can find. On one of my Marketplace rundowns I came across these tanktops from Redgrave. They were pretty cheap and you got more than one for the price. Needless to say, I grabbed them up. I rushed to go put them on when I saw only one a few mesh items (no sizes), and an alpha. Now I was thinking to myself “What the Taco is this snuff.” And just when I was about to write an angry notecard I clicked on one of the items. Boom! Liquid mesh. It fit like a glove. Now I am hooked on the stuff. I don’t need to tweak my shape it just fits and pours on to my avatar kinda like…well liquid. I guess that’s where the name is from.

Now that I had my tank top I need to put a look together. I found a nice pair of shorts on the Marketplace. Now, the shorts are from a mesh kit. You can tell by the fact that you will see the same mesh design with a different texture on top. I am not really against kit items. Truly I am not. However one of the things I find funny is you will see the same kit being used over and over again but the prices will be different. Let’s take for example those shorts from Nerd Monkey. Even thought there are many shorts that look just like this one Nerd Monkey was selling their shorts for L$280. Not only did I think the price was good, you also got 21 other recolors plus a color change hud. (If you wanna make Gabe happy, include a color change hud. ) On the same Marketplace page another store (I am not going to say which one) had the same Kit shorts, one color, no texture change hud, for L$99. I just paid L$280 for 21 pairs of shorts. That comes out to about L$12 a short. Talk about a deal

Summerfest

15 Jun

Normally I try hard to stay away from events. I find that a good chunk of the time the lag is so bad that it takes you a full minute to walk one inch. Added to the fact that a lot of these events are geared to women that sometimes I feel as a male avatar it would be a waste of my time just to go and grab one or two items. Despite all this, either out of boredom or peer pressure from plunk, I jumped over to Summerfest and boy, was I glad I did.

summerfest2

I somehow managed to get into Summerfest on my second try which is not all that common for a Secondlife event. When I landed, I was greeted with the sound of the beach boys, the sound of the ocean, and some really fun finds.

Dust

14 Jun

Today I got the urge to change my avatar’s looks so I went bouncing around skin stores. Now, let me tell you, I am a wee bit picky when it comes to skins. I like the mouth on my Gabe nice and plump, the skin tone has to be some what palish (at least for this look I had in mind), and the brows cannot be too thin. With these goals in mind I was going to store after store. At one, the lips would be perfect but for some reason the skin only came in tan. At other’s the brows were too thin and made me think of a drag queen. I was starting to get worried I would never find something I liked until I popped into Nivaro. Now this store had a few skins I loved, most of which I grabbed demos with. In my excitement I some how managed to buy a skin. At first I was all “Oh bloody hell” until I tried it on. I was in love. The hair base was pure white, the brows were nice and light. I threw on a grey colored hair and got the look bellow.

Dust

While I was in my “OMG I need a new skin mode” I also did some normal shopping. See the hoodie? It’s from FATEwear. I love it. But you see, I have this problem. Every time I go into FATEwear I end up getting AT LEAST one fatpack. This trip I walked away with the fatpack of the hoodie (Which was L$1200) and a tank top I am going to use in a later blog. I told myself it was worth it. I mean, look how good I look!

Youth

4 Jun

When I think of the word “youth” I think about rainbow colored hair, studs shoved into clothing, and running around in sneakers. I came across the Wild Fusion hair huds at Exile and I was in LOVE. I mean it LOVE. My favorite out of all of them was the “Prism” option. It is pretty and rainbow and just amazing. For the look bellow I am using Ocean. It is also amazing.

I also would like to draw attention to the shirt. It is a Men’s Department item from . I wish I had this shirt in real life. No lie, I was tempted to buy a shirt I saw like this at Fashion Bug. Luckily my boyfriend pulled me away. The 22769|pants (The ph0to under the cut shows it better) is also an item from the Men’s Department. The shirt comes with different textures for the studs.

Waste

1 Jun

Guess who figured out how to make his Boyfriend’s mac have shadows? This kid! So now my photos will look 10% less sucky because I have shadows. Anywho, on to fashion.

Today I was thing to myself “What am I going to blog?” when out of the blue also like an angel Airedine Poe spoke on me “Oh pretty one, take these glasses and spread the word about their splendor.” So I am here to preach the word of these glasses and my love for them.

waste

The Venture into the Night glasses are pretty epic. The rounded frames come in both gold and silver and six different space reflection in it’s Mirrored lenses.  The glasses are mod which is perfect for resizing. She also made them copy which is great for me given that I sometimes move glasses to be on top of my head. Normally it’s a pain to move them back. If you would like to pick up a pair of these bad boys look for the Adore and Abhor item at the Numberology event.

The King of Roses

29 May

You know those times when real life is all “LoL Nope.” If you have you can understand why I haven’t posted in so long. I am not really gonna go into details because really, who cares, however here is a look for you.

Roseking

This look WAS going to be in Avenue’s April issue along with two others. Before life was all “Hey baseball bat to the head.” I was more than halfway done with the images (I also lost access to those when my laptop was all “NOPE”.) I love this look for many reasons the first would be the Boom flower head-dress. If you remember from last round of Arcade (The new round starts June 1st) it was one of the items Boom offered. I don’t know if you can still picked up somewhere, I had a hard time locating it at the store.

Skate

3 Mar

I am not very creative today when it comes to blog titles but I wanted to show of these skates from this round of the Arcade. The stakes come from The Secret Store, I have been wearing them since they time I picked up the blogger preview and wearing an old Ice Skate AO so it looks like I am skating. They are pretty fun. So if you are into retro looking skates, pick them up.

Speaking of pretty cool, have you seen this sweater from FATEwear? It’s one of the two new releases from the brand. Above is the Harrison sweater. The Ford swear pretty much has the same design except it is solid while Harrison is striped.

While we are on the topic of new and FATEwear, they also released a fat pack hud. For the Harrison and Ford sweaters it pretty much looks like the image bellow. Except like stated above, Ford has solid options

FATEwear-Sweater-Hud

The hud for the Sweaters is pretty easy to use. The all color option sets at the parts (1-3) to the preset color. The part 1, 2 and 3 tabs only control that one part of the sweater.

FATEwear-Sweater-Parts

Part 01 being the main body of the sweat, part 02 being the sleeve, and part 03 being the buttons along the side. If I could do math I would tell you haw many different combinations you can make with the fat pack hud. However, I am pretty sucky at math so.. Let’s just say it’s a lot mmkay?

Hopeless Wonder

28 Feb

So an amazing event opens tomorrow. I bet you never heard of it. It’s called The Arcade. Today I swung by for blogger preview day and picked up a few amazing items. For this look and this picture I am using two of the amazing items you can win at the event. The first item would be the Boom Nature’s Crown and a Teardrop Trailer for the store Floorplan.

Hopeless-Wonder

In this look I am also using the amazing Mesh Feet from Ispachi. I am going to do a blogger blog post with all of it’s features but for this look I am just going to give a bit of a preview. Trust me these things are amazing.

Spiked Glamour

25 Feb

So, you know how I said I was going to be a Arcade Blogger for March. I am and I am super excited.  I just got my first Arcade Blogger pack from Gizza. At first when I saw it I was like “Oh sad face there is no way I can make that fit my avatar” From the vendor ad it looks like one piece but thank -insert spirit here- it comes in four pieces. The two shoulders parts, the chain and a pearl necklace. From this look you can see that I am just using the shoulders. The Arcade opens March 1st.

Spiked-Glamour

I matched the  shoulder pads with the grown up suit from FATEwear. I thought it was perfect since yesterday was “The Oscars”  (I just watched them today. How great was Adele).  One of the many things I love about this suit is the fact you do not have to wear the tie made to go with it. Bowties  are just more classy than straight ones. I hope you enjoy this look and stick tune to TragicllyStyled for your Arcade cover.
