So, for todays blog instead of highlighting a look I put together with items from this round of The Men’s Department, or going on and on about FATEwear’s new releases, or showing some of the items from Wizarding Faire 2013 I figured I could tell you a story; A Story of Hair. Not just any hair you see but the kind that grows upon your face. I guess my love with facial hair started one November when I was going “No Shave November” and I was really starting to enjoy how I looked in real life. I figured since I liked the way I was looking with a beard I would try some of them out in second life.
My love for second life facial hair started around the same time tattoo layers became a thing. The first sort of staple layer I used in all my looks came from a store called Nanuk. The beard was simple nothing all that fantastic. Almost looked like a beginning of some kind. Around this time I was also rocking eyebrow layers to try to create a new look using the same old skin I used before. The eyebrow layer thing sort of faded out but this beard from Nanuk still was a part of my everyday look. Sadly Nanuk is closed and I am not sure you can find this beard fore sale anymore.
The next logical step for facial hair seemed to be trying to find one with some prim pieces and I did except I was not to thrilled with the prim attachments that came with these chops. Thankfully Jaryth’s Barber Shop’s prim beards can be worn as just as tattoo layers as well. I threw it on top of my Nanuk beard and called it good. Around this time I also felt the urge to be ginger again so I set the facial hairs aside all together. Soon after that I sort of fade out of second life all together.
So normally when I do a blog there is a pattern I do it in. First thing I do is always pick a hair and build a look around it. For this look the point of inspiration comes from Discord Designs. They will be releasing this amazing hair as part of the event called The 24 Gacha which starts August 23rd-31st. Instead of dreads the hair was made out of wires and plugs. So I knew I was going to do a cyber look. Next I build the look. I knew I was going to use latex so I dusted off my off my old latex file, added some great cyber arms and boom. I had my look. Next thing I do is take my blog photos. After the photos are done I pop the raws into photo shop and crop them. Now, if it was any other look, I would have retaken the images I am using for this post, but the lighting glitch just fit so well with the look that I kept it. So I hope you enjoy
Pretty cool right? In a way it reminds me of the old 1990′s cartoon ReBoot. Man I loved that show, I always hoped they would make a remake of it. But sadly they have not.

So on Saturday Hair Fair opened. I some how managed to get in on my 10000 try. I did buy some hairs which I will blog this week or next but I wanted to show case one of my favorite hair styles from Discord Designs that I was sent in a blogger pack. Discord Designs is a name I have been using on my blog for a while back when I had that really cool mustache thing going on. Other than epic facial hair, one of the things this brand is really known for is dread locks. Now if you have been following my blog for a while you know I have a love for the dreads. So naturally, I was excited to get blogger copies of Discord Design’s hair fair items and even more so when these amazing, stunning, fantastic locks rezzed on my head.
These dread locks called Cosima are by far, hands down, no runner ups, my favorite Hair Fair item from Discord Designs this year. Don’t get me twisted (Like these amazing locks) the other styles are great in their own light but nothing holds a candle to these locks. The dreads themselves are mesh and come in three sizes to fit almost anyone. Add the included hair base gives the effect like these hair to make these locks are pulled from the scalp. If you some how manage to get into Hair Fair check out the Discord Design’s booth on the Cloud sim
So yesterday, I logged into secondlife and created the look. I was going to blog it but I fell asleep. I had a rather long day. So, I am blogging it today YAY.
I really don’t feel like writing all fluffy today so here is the facts. The shirt and hair, those come from the Men’s Department. They are cool. Yay cool men’s stuff.

When I think of the word “youth” I think about rainbow colored hair, studs shoved into clothing, and running around in sneakers. I came across the Wild Fusion hair huds at Exile and I was in LOVE. I mean it LOVE. My favorite out of all of them was the “Prism” option. It is pretty and rainbow and just amazing. For the look bellow I am using Ocean. It is also amazing.
I also would like to draw attention to the shirt. It is a Men’s Department item from . I wish I had this shirt in real life. No lie, I was tempted to buy a shirt I saw like this at Fashion Bug. Luckily my boyfriend pulled me away. The 22769|pants (The ph0to under the cut shows it better) is also an item from the Men’s Department. The shirt comes with different textures for the studs.

So, I wanted to go ahead and do this quick post. It’s ‘quick’ only because I ended up needing one shot for it. But like an onion there are layers. The photo bellow has a few things I want to draw attention to. The first being this swim suit from FATEwear. I walked in the store today, saw these shorts, and without blinking an eye I was like “Fatpack”. They are just that good. The next thing I wanted to point out are the flipflops. They are new from CheerNo and I just love them. The textures are done so well and they come in fun colors. I like the baby blue one, it went well with the floaty. Speaking of floaty, for this round of The Arcade , Miamai has animal floatie. I really enjoy seeing all the animal themed items Miamai puts out for this event. You know what is also a great event? The Men’s Department. That’s where the sleeve tattoos are from.
Real quick note before I let you go to the credits. The pink swim shorts you see above, those only come with the Fatpack which will run you about 800 L$. With summer coming up in Secondlife I say the cost is worth what you are getting. But that is just me.
Also please note the tattoo in this look will not be in The Men’s Department until June 5th

The Men’s Department is just around the corner and I for one am super excited. Just the other day a preview was sent out to the group. When I opened it I came across the shirt in this look. To be honest when I first saw it all I could think of the hippy stoners in my town but the more I looked at it, I started to think of India.
If you haven’t taken the time to explore the Zaara sim I would like to be the first to suggest it. Not only is the sim stunning; there is also an amazing Bollywood stream playing. I think the music is what made me go Bolly with this look. I went to check to see if the pants (or Chinos) were still in the in-world store. The music came on and I was like “Done, Doing Bollywood.”

Guess who figured out how to make his Boyfriend’s mac have shadows? This kid! So now my photos will look 10% less sucky because I have shadows. Anywho, on to fashion.
Today I was thing to myself “What am I going to blog?” when out of the blue also like an angel Airedine Poe spoke on me “Oh pretty one, take these glasses and spread the word about their splendor.” So I am here to preach the word of these glasses and my love for them.
The Venture into the Night glasses are pretty epic. The rounded frames come in both gold and silver and six different space reflection in it’s Mirrored lenses. The glasses are mod which is perfect for resizing. She also made them copy which is great for me given that I sometimes move glasses to be on top of my head. Normally it’s a pain to move them back. If you would like to pick up a pair of these bad boys look for the Adore and Abhor item at the Numberology event.

You know those times when real life is all “LoL Nope.” If you have you can understand why I haven’t posted in so long. I am not really gonna go into details because really, who cares, however here is a look for you.
This look WAS going to be in Avenue’s April issue along with two others. Before life was all “Hey baseball bat to the head.” I was more than halfway done with the images (I also lost access to those when my laptop was all “NOPE”.) I love this look for many reasons the first would be the Boom flower head-dress. If you remember from last round of Arcade (The new round starts June 1st) it was one of the items Boom offered. I don’t know if you can still picked up somewhere, I had a hard time locating it at the store.

I am not very creative today when it comes to blog titles but I wanted to show of these skates from this round of the Arcade. The stakes come from The Secret Store, I have been wearing them since they time I picked up the blogger preview and wearing an old Ice Skate AO so it looks like I am skating. They are pretty fun. So if you are into retro looking skates, pick them up.
Speaking of pretty cool, have you seen this sweater from FATEwear? It’s one of the two new releases from the brand. Above is the Harrison sweater. The Ford swear pretty much has the same design except it is solid while Harrison is striped.
While we are on the topic of new and FATEwear, they also released a fat pack hud. For the Harrison and Ford sweaters it pretty much looks like the image bellow. Except like stated above, Ford has solid options
The hud for the Sweaters is pretty easy to use. The all color option sets at the parts (1-3) to the preset color. The part 1, 2 and 3 tabs only control that one part of the sweater.
Part 01 being the main body of the sweat, part 02 being the sleeve, and part 03 being the buttons along the side. If I could do math I would tell you haw many different combinations you can make with the fat pack hud. However, I am pretty sucky at math so.. Let’s just say it’s a lot mmkay?
