So, a few events have started this past weekend that I think you should know about. I was lucky enough to have a blogger pass to both of these and I would like to share what I have found.

Fall is here! Thank god fall is here. I think I said this before in past writings but fall is one of my favorite seasons. The leafs change colors and cover the ground covering the ugly dead grass. The hair is cooler and it’s okay to layer. For today’s look, I have a simple layered outfit for you. I enjoy this outfit very much and have not changed out of it yet.
One small tip. To create a layered look with mesh can be hard now a days given that currently you wear a mesh item over another one with out it looking funny. If a designer does not create a full mesh layer look it is almost impossible. This is where clothing layers come in. The blue turtle neck is a clothing layer with a prim (Or mesh it could be mesh) attachment.

As the weather starts to cool down, you see more and more layers to keep people warm. Scarfs and mittens start to come out and I need more! But here is a look using one of my many scarfs I collected.
This look is also inspired by a fashion website I came across. The inspiration is seem more in the image bellow the cut.

Halloween is in nine days! Are you excited? I am super excited! In the spirit of Halloween, I created a Grim Reaper inspired look.
Remember a few post ago I did that picture with the stripper pole. The event Fair which it is from is on a new cycle. Unlike last cycle there are a few male items mainly the make up (which is unisex) and the pants. The pants are part of an outfit that also comes with a top and shoes (I think shoes) but for this look I only used the pants. I will be using more fair items in later post.

Because it is October and because Cinema is still going on I thought it would be best to do a really creepy look. The look uses many things from the event things you would never think go together but I find work really well. The look ended up looking a little on the creepy side so I had a little fun with it and created this image
In some cultures demons and bad temptations take on human forms. Inspired by this, I created a story line for this look. Meet Fumigant (the laitan word for smoke). Not get get all PSA on you, but smoking is bad for your heath. But the funny thing is when smoking first came out it was seem as a glamours thing. This look is glamours in my option. That along with the pose gave me the idea of Fumigant.

This round of The Men’s Department. There was something every off. The event itself normally has clothing, hair and skins for men. Often times they also have different furniture items and poses as well. This time, one of the stores put up a set of creepy twins. I was inspired by these two twins to create a look. Not only did I create a look, I also created a new character. Meet Vince. The younger brother of Voiktor and Ivan Creep.

Hello Darlings. I have returned. This new game called Real Life stole me a way for a while and made me build a model of a stage design out of cardboard and paper. For those who do not know me in the real life, I cannot build. I can’t cut a straight line or draw a straight line. So this project took me forever and it still looks like a hot mess. However that is not the point of this post. Today, I have two post for you this one that you are reading now and a later one which will be submitted here soon after. For this post I wanted to bring attention to an event I am looking forward to. That event is called Cinema
Cinema is the brain child of a wonderful woman in Secondlife life by the name of RubyStarlight Writer and her brand Hottie Cooterati. This event is similar to one she put on last year with the “Festival of Sin” but using film genres instead of the seven deadly sins. Like FoS the designers are split into groups. On the top of my head, I do not know all the groups. But I do know that these is a film noir group, action, horror, I want to say romance and porn. Yes porn.
What I find really cool about this event is the different ways that designers take the theme they picked. For example, one brand who was assigned porn did these very amusing dildo high heel shoes (which I grabbed up right away). Some of the designers even went so far to design their vendor ads to look like movie posters. Pididdle has my favorite one so far. The event itself does not open to the public until October 13th so keep your eyes open.

You know sometimes when I write a blog, the worst part is the titles. But sometime’s it’s the words. I try not to be a picture blog and try to share or give feed back on what I am blogging but sometimes (often) I end up zoning out on a blank page for a few minutes on end some times even hours. Today was one of these days. I don’t know if I should talk about it being cold right now and how much I hate it or the fact that I am still on a fancy color hair kick. So I guess I will just give you a picture now.
You know how in the last post I was all “Burley has an amazing hair texture pack blah blah I wish they had more of these options in different styles.” The hair above is one of them. Luckily you can color tint Burley’s mesh hair. Today, I felt like a being a lavender color.

So, if you cannot guess, I am on a unnatural color hair kick. I blame it on the fact that I spend my time googling images of pretty male models. A few of them have amazing hair and I end up wanting to redo the hair in secondlife. Lucky, Burley has a few colors to sooth my color lust with their Magnate Yogurt pack. Real quick reminder, you have to be in the Burley update group. The group fee is 50L but it is worth the additional cost for these colors.
However, I have to wag a finger at Burley for a moment and say I wish that this color option was available for EVERY style they do. Right now it is not and out of the newer styles they just released. Only one of the male ones have the Magnate Yogurt pack.

One of the things I hate the most in Secondlife is avatar hands. They are all pointed weird and sometimes the skin does not fall all that all that well on the shape of it. One brand is about to change that with their new release. CheerNo, my first love of secondlife, just released their mesh hands yesteryear and I have to say is I love these things.
The hands come with the four poses above in the four options show. The poses are peace, relax, closed and the middle finger (cheerno calls it Fuck). Each pose hand comes with bare nails, bare nails with tattoo, black nails, and black with tattoo. The hands come with a color change hud much like ones that come with prim feet. I didn’t really have to play with the hud since the skin I was wearing (The Body Co Sky in medium) matched the hands perfectly. Thought the hands are mesh, they can be re sized by clicking on the hand itself. The hands do not come with the jewelry in the picture. I just wanted to show that you can still wear the gems you have with theses hands. With rings, since most designers by default put them on your hand you might have to move them to fit.
Now, if I had to be super picky and pick out a few things I did not like about these hands it would be the fact that you cannot control which hand gets changed. Let’s say you only want the bird tattoo on one hand. You could put on the hand you want it on, take it off, change the other hand and put the tattoo hand back on again. But this is a pain and I wish you could single out a hand to change. Also, I wish there were more tattoo and nail options.
Despite these things, I still love these hands and I doubt I will take them off.
