Big Bear Riding Hood

Have you ever had a song that was stuck in our head and would not leave? For the past few days, I have had the song Lil Red Riding Hood from the band Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs. Except the Amanda Seyfried cover. Because I can’t get the song out of my head and because of this Magika hair I bought recently; here is a Little Red Riding Hood look. Well, sort of. Let’s face it, there is nothing “Little” about my current avatar.

Like I said above. The hair used in this look is from Magika. I had to edit the hood to make it that red color. However, the fact it was mod made me happy. Even as I love this hair, the only thing that made me a little sad face about it was the fact that because it’s a mesh hair made for females; the hair sort of hovers over a male avatar’s pecs. There is no male option out there. So I guess I’ll just suck it up like a big boy.

Not very cat friendly

I feel like I owe you guys this long sort of post saying things like “Hi I am back” And going into why. But I am not going too. Instead for my little intro rant. I want to talk about kittens. I love kittens. Yes.

Now with my little I love kitten rant out of the way here is a look for you.

This look would not be very cat friendly being mostly all black. Can you just picture the amount of lint brush rollers you would have to use to get all the cat fur off of your crisp black sweater? And what if the cat was one of those furry white ones? Oh hell. Talk about a mess. Speaking of sweater. This one from Levenchy was free on the secondlife marketplace. It’s one of those deals where the designer is like “You know, I could just give you the mesh demo with the sweater with the word demo written all over it. But I want to be cool and sort of just give you a demo you can use forever.” I find a lot of stores do this and a lot of them are on the marketplace. So to those designer; thank you for saving me some lindens.

The Crisp of Fall

Fall is here! Thank god fall is here. I think I said this before in past writings but fall is one of my favorite seasons. The leafs change colors and cover the ground covering the ugly dead grass. The hair is cooler and it’s okay to layer. For today’s look, I have a simple layered outfit for you. I enjoy this outfit very much and have not changed out of it yet.

One small tip. To create a layered look with mesh can be hard now a days given that currently you wear a mesh item over another one with out it looking funny. If a designer does not create a full mesh layer look it is almost impossible. This is where clothing layers come in. The blue turtle neck is a clothing layer with a prim (Or mesh it could be mesh) attachment.

So pretty

Because it is October and because Cinema is still going on I thought it would be best to do a really creepy look. The look uses many things from the event things you would never think go together but I find work really well. The look ended up looking a little on the creepy side so I had a little fun with it and created this image

In some cultures demons and bad temptations take on human forms. Inspired by this, I created a story line for this look. Meet Fumigant (the laitan word for smoke). Not get get all PSA on you, but smoking is bad for your heath. But the funny thing is when smoking first came out it was seem as a glamours thing. This look is glamours in my option.  That along with the pose gave me the idea of Fumigant.

It’s Getting Colder.

You know sometimes when I write a blog, the worst part is the titles. But sometime’s it’s the words. I try not to be a picture blog and try to share or give feed back on what I am blogging but sometimes (often) I end up zoning out on a blank page for a few minutes on end some times even hours. Today was one of these days. I don’t know if I should talk about it being cold right now and how much I hate it or the fact that I am still on a fancy color hair kick. So I guess I will just give you a picture now.

 

You know how in the last post I was all “Burley has an amazing hair texture pack blah blah I wish they had more of these options in different styles.” The hair above is one of them. Luckily you can color tint Burley’s mesh hair.  Today, I felt like a being a lavender color.

AAARRRGGG I am Pirate

So, if you cannot guess, I am on a unnatural color hair kick. I blame it on the fact that I spend my time googling images of pretty male models. A few of them have amazing hair and I end up wanting to redo the hair in secondlife. Lucky, Burley has a few colors to sooth my color lust with their Magnate Yogurt pack. Real quick reminder, you have to be in the Burley update group. The group fee is 50L but it is worth the additional cost for these colors.

However, I have to wag a finger at Burley for a moment and say I wish that this color option was available for EVERY style they do. Right now it is not and out of the newer styles they just released. Only one of the male ones have the Magnate Yogurt pack.

Dance With The Devil

October is coming up real soon and I for one cannot wait. The month holds my favorite Holiday which is Halloween. I am going to challenge myself to create a Halloween look every day for the month of October. In fact. I think I am going to issue a Blog Challenge! I challenge my fellow bloggers to join me in the Halloween fun for what I am going to call the 31 days of Halloween. I will write up more details about it later.  But knowing me, I had to get a head start.

So the look above is not really a costume. But the look was inspired off this really cool ring/hand thingy I found off of the second life market place. You can see it better in the image I am going to put bellow the cut, but just because I want to show the details, here is a close up of the hands for this look.

I also am changing the way I blog. I will no longer be doing a headshot. However instead, I will be linking to face details like this one here. While I am on the subject of headshot. Can I just express how much of a money whole the store Truth is? I try not to go to his store because every time I do, I end up buying a few hairs. I think I own around…a lot. I own a lot.

Paint a dirty picture for me

Hello Tragic Followers. I have returned to grace you with my handsome face. You know you missed me~ Anyways, while I was away a few amazing things came up. By now you probably already know about them but for my sake I am going to pretend you live under a rock and have never heard about these things I am about to tell you. The first is The Arcade, that event that still gives me a huge want boner is now open. For this look, I am using two of items from the event. (side note if anyone wants to give me all bottom four of these ears I will love you forever.)

The second thing is Zodiac. That thing I keep doing about once a month. Yeah they switched rounds. This round it’s Libra and one of the items for this round is this cool easel photo prop. What is cool about it is the canvas texture is included in the pack so you could throw that into Photoshop and add a picture. Or just did what I did. Real quick thought, and this could just be me, but I had an issue with the brush not loading even with my LOD factors maxed out. Despite this, the prop and poses are still pretty darn cute.
